Junior Day is designed for all high school girls basketball players that want to work directly with college coaches in an on-court environment. The event is for those players who are focused on becoming college basketball student-athletes or want to learn more about that process. The camp will feature quality instruction from active college coaches, evaluations provided by the coaching staff through the instructional process, and a Seminar on Recruiting and the College Experience for both players and parents. The camp is open to all high school girls basketball players and is restricted in enrollment. The player-to-coach ratio will not exceed 8:1. These camps are in compliance with all NCAA rules.
-
The Morning Session will run from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
-
The Afternoon Session will run from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
All campers and their parents from every session will have the opportunity to participate in the Seminar on Recruiting and the College Experience. This Seminar will take place between the morning and afternoon session.
Each Session will consist of instruction in the following areas; skill work, strength work, mental training, metric based testing and instruction as well as education about the recruitment process. All skill work will be in direct small groups, one-on-one or, at times, a large group instructional setting. All information and instruction will be age specific. The cost of the camp will be $239 for one session, Morning or Afternoon. A two-session registration option is available for those players wanting to maximize their time in front of the college coaches and showcase their versatility in multiple positions. Both sessions are offered at a reduced $359. Space is limited. These sessions are expected to fill quickly.
Our goal for a player-to-coach ratio is 6:1 but will not exceed 8:1.

EVALUATION
Players will receive verbal feedback from the different levels of college basketball represented at the camp. Coaches will evaluate each player based on their coaching experiences at their level of college basketball and give feedback when appropriate. This will allow each participating basketball player the opportunity to get a much clearer idea of where their skills may fit at the college level.
To encourage interaction between the coaches and players, we highly recommend players to ask questions of the staff and obtain any and all information they would like to know. The verbal evaluation is designed to be informative but not restrictive, just like a college practice. Each Junior Day Regional camp can differ slightly when it comes to the feedback given but generally speaking, players will be evaluated in areas of the game such as: passing, dribbling, ball distribution, shooting, rebounding, and defense. Players will also be instructed in improving the skills areas that they are having evaluated. Through dialogue with the coaches, players will be provided with information that they can use to compare and contrast where they stand with current college basketball players.
WHY IS IT A CAMP AND A SHOWCASE?
Well, because it's the best of both worlds. Players want to showcase their skills to coaches, but they should also want to learn from the coaches. Coaches want to evaluate players and their skills so they can teach them appropriately, just like they do with their own players. Coaches also want to see how players react to new instruction, new techniques and how they socialize with peers and other coaches.
THE COLLEGE COACHES AT JUNIOR DAY ARE ON THE COURT ALL DAY JUST LIKE THEY ARE FOR THEIR OWN PRACTICES & GAMES
SEMINAR ON RECRUITING & THE COLLEGE EXPERIENCE
The Seminar on Recruiting and the College Experience will be held during camp and is for all members of the family. The seminar will last approximately 45 minutes. While each event is unique, the seminar will cover topics like: The NCAA Recruiting Rules, How to Promote Yourself, What Coaches Look For, The Best Way to Make a Video, What to Expect Playing College Athletics and How to Talk to College Coaches. You will come out of the event having a much better idea of what college athletics is all about.
